The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Vicente Engonga's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Jakes came free, but Rosendo Menendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Ciro Jakes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Vicente Engonga getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Atilano Giro hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the game, Ciro Jakes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rosendo Menendo. Ciro Jakes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Anjuli's Luis Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Valiente in the 35th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Tomás Felipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Anjuli's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Perico came free, but Luis Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vicente Engonga booed when Anjuli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Matei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Tomás Felipo was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 54th minute, Tomás Felipo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Geronimo Hug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anjuli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 62 played minutes Anjuli got a freekick which was hit by Diego Tiadoro. Vicente Engonga's Rosendo Menendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geronimo Hug in the 64th minute of play. Geronimo Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Matei took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rosendo Menendo. Vicente Engonga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Vicente Engonga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Ixaka to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Luis Machado made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Samuel Perico sent off a good shot on target. Ciro Jakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Rosendo Menendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Anjuli were the better team. Anjuli's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
