An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Ralondo in the 4th minute of play forced AS Roma's goalkeeper Fulgencio Ibon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, AS Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Berto came free, but Fulgencio Ibon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Jonasito's Octavio Veremundo got control of the ball when Angelino Peru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mateo Ralondo scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulgencio Ibon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 42 minutes, Mateo Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jonasito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Ralondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Jonasito were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mateo Ralondo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cosme Shantala charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cosme Shantala the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jonasito's Cosme Shantala got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Octavio Veremundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Peru in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Jonasito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Onbera to maneuver through the defense. After 57 minutes, Mateo Ralondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jonasito and the AS Roma players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jonasito getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mateo Ralondo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Haroldo Berto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jonasito's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Berto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Ibon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Ibon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Ralondo in the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute Mateo Ralondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Ibon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Haroldo Berto came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Jonasito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Berto couldn't finish the play. If Mateo Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cornelio Cedro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Veremundo was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Haroldo Bertos short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Fulgencio Ibon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Mateo Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored AS Roma's protests and gave Arsenio Precioso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jonasito booed when AS Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Precioso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, AS Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Ralondo came free, but Fulgencio Ibon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
