The referee ignored Arrutó's protests and gave Federico Belo a yellow card for diving instead. Federico Belo kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Cirilo Kemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Augusto Gonza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestino Lander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingos Ladio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Soter in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Lander got free with Domingos Ladio in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TALLERES UNITED's Domingos Ladio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Soter in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match, Leonides Soter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Domingos Ladio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 34 minutes, Celestino Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrutó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Lander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Marcial Kauldi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Arrutó's Augusto Gonza. Augusto Gonza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in TALLERES UNITED's zone, Celestino Lander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Ladio came out of the goal and Celestino Lander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Soter might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domingos Ladio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonides Soter ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Serafino Fagildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Leonides Soter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Domingos Ladio. Leonides Soter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Leonides Soter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Celestino Lander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingos Ladio was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 70 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Ursino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TALLERES UNITED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrutó the free kick. Osvaldo Ursino kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Domingos Ladio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Lander in the 72nd minute of play. If Marcial Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celestino Lander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the TALLERES UNITED defense, Celestino Lander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingos Ladio. The TALLERES UNITED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Ladio should have stopped the shot. TALLERES UNITED's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
