Arrutó's Augusto Gonza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Emeterio in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match Ladislao Rolado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Gonza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Augusto Gonza managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Islandia F.C.'s Tiburcio Janpier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Froilan Emeterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Txilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Lander in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Islandia F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Soter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Paulo Txilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Islandia F.C.'s Everardo Maldonado got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 25 played minutes Islandia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Canor. Nemesio Gonzalez hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Islandia F.C.'s Epifanio Peyo got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Celestino Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrutó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Lander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everardo Maldonado was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Arrutó booed when Islandia F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Maldonado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Txilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Soter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Soter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Leonides Soter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrutó's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Soter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Txilar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonides Soter to strike the kick off in the second half. Celestino Lander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Paulo Txilar made a huge save. After having played for 62 minutes, Tiburcio Janpier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Islandia F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Janpier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Leonides Soter reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulo Txilar. The goal made the score 0-2. 75 minutes into the match, Islandia F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Soter came free, but Paulo Txilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, Islandia F.C.'s Tiburcio Janpier made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Gonza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tiburcio Janpier struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Augusto Gonza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islandia F.C.. A collision led to Arrutó getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Saverio Ler hit a great ball. Tiburcio Janpier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Augusto Gonza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arrutó! The referee gave Islandia F.C. a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nemesio Medina, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arrutó's Augusto Gonza. 2-2. Tiburcio Janpier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Gonza having to interfere. The Arrutó players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Islandia F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
