If Leonides Soter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celestino Lander might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Primitivo Erramu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Lander ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, QUILMES FC's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Belo came free, but Primitivo Erramu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ciriaco Xabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the game, Evelio Urre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrutó's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave QUILMES FC the free kick. In the 24th minute, Evelio Urre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Soter in the 28th minute of play forced QUILMES FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Erramu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Cerilo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Tiburcio Faron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvio Hori might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Gonza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvio Hori ran back to his position shaking his head. Dario Hermelando hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Faron scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Gonza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciriaco Xabier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Augusto Gonza made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Soter was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Arrutó was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Belo to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Xabier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 51st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Gonza. Arrutó's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Augusto Gonza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Faron in the 53rd minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, QUILMES FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Erramu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celestino Lander. In the 61st minute Leonides Soter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Xabier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Cerilo during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to QUILMES FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Victor Cerilo hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Primitivo Erramu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 69 played minutes QUILMES FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Hori. Leonides Soter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Erramu having to interfere. The supporters of Arrutó booed when QUILMES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arrutó's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evelio Urre in the 79th minute. The corner ended in Nemesio Gonzalez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but QUILMES FC's Primitivo Erramu did a great save. In the 81st minute Ciriaco Xabier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Gonza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Gonza having to interfere. Alfredo Amato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Gonza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind QUILMES FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Erramu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Arrutó's Leonides Soter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When Leonides Soter came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Arrutó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonides Soter couldn't finish the play. Silvio Hori kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
