In the 13thth minute of the game Eustaquio Bihar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La cicloneta's Guillermo Miliano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cosme Pero hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, La cicloneta's Victorino Pasqual shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lisandro Presebal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La cicloneta reached it. Lisandro Presebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Acevedo in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Obanta defense, Oscar Estevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lisandro Presebal. The Obanta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lisandro Presebal should have stopped the shot. Cipriano Gimenez charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Gimenez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Obanta booed when La cicloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Gimenez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cosme Pero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guillermo Miliano. That made the score 2-1 in the 45 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Federico Sanchez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, La cicloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Sanchez to maneuver through the defense. In the 52nd minute Eustaquio Bihar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guillermo Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
