Ulises Ulizes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Bazil in the 6th minute of play. With his leg Teo Bastiaro managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Weekend FC's Ignacio Pinto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Teo Bastiaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Marino, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Fulgencio Marino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teo Bastiaro having to make a save. Ulises Ulizes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Bazil went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Elias Bernabel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulises Ulizes was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. A collision led to Weekend FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Andres Txindoki hit a great ball. Ignacio Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Elias Bernabel made a precise shot to the right of Ulises Ulizes. Weekend FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Hermengildo Hug fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anguilan FC's protests and gave Hermengildo Hug a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Weekend FC booed when Anguilan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Hug didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Bernabel in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulises Ulizes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ignacio Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Bazil made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Bazil got free with Ulises Ulizes in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anguilan FC's Hermengildo Hug suffered a concussion in the 54th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baltasar Brais during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Baltasar Brais kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. If Elias Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Bernabel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anguilan FC's Teo Bastiaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Marino in the 71st minute of play. When Elias Bernabel came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Anguilan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Bernabel couldn't finish the play. If Elias Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Teo Bastiaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anguilan FC's Teo Bastiaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Pinto in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Elias Bernabel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anguilan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Bernabel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Ulizes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Teo Bastiaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Marino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Teo Bastiaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Anguilan FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
