The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Weekend FC's goalkeeper Ulises Ulizes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Gabrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Etxatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Ulizes having to interfere. Isidro Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ulises Ulizes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute of the match Fausto Iratzeder sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulises Ulizes skillfully saved the ball. Isidro Beat's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Ulises Ulizes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dionisio Frisco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 minutes, Alonzo Nuxila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Chacarita Juniors and the Weekend FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, C.A. Chacarita Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Nuxila to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodolfo Etxatxu to make the kick off. Ulises Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Etxatxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Ignacio Pinto notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of C.A. Weekend FC's Ignacio Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85th play minutes Ignacio Pinto shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Dionisio Frisco and just under the crossbar into goal. 94 minutes into the match, Weekend FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Etxatxu came free, but Ulises Ulizes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Gabrio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Weekend FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
