Hermengildo Hug's late challenge caught a Sueldos AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Hug helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Anguilan FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. When Carmelo Herrera came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Sueldos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Herrera couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Celedonio Isaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carmelo Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Teo Bastiaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anguilan FC's Teo Bastiaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Anguilan FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Elias Bernabel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anguilan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Bernabel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Orlo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sueldos AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
