With a little luck, Acebal's Bruno Enekoitz got control of the ball when Jacinto Umbruso tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, German Bazkoare took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bruno Enekoitz to make any attempt to save it. Jacinto Umbrusos short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Bruno Enekoitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Umbruso got free with Bruno Enekoitz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Benjamin Gurutz fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Acebal's protests and gave Benjamin Gurutz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villa San Carlos booed when Acebal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Gurutz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergio Quirce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Hustaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Acebal's Martin Hustaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sergio Quirce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Hustaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Sergio Quirce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Bazkoare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Enekoitz having to interfere. Jacinto Umbruso in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Enekoitz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 43 minutes, Leonides Mazuste managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acebal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Mazuste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Hustaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sergio Quirce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and German Bazkoare made a kick off. German Bazkoare might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Enekoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. German Bazkoare ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jacinto Umbruso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa San Carlos's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Umbruso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Enekoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Acebal. Nemesio Bernaldo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sergio Quirce. 1-1. Leonides Mazuste might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergio Quirce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonides Mazuste ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonides Mazuste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sergio Quirce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Mazuste recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martin Hustaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Sergio Quirce made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Acebal's Urbano Orzaize got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 84th minute, Leonides Mazuste reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergio Quirce. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 89th match minute, Acebal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Gurutz to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Orzaize kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jacinto Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Enekoitz having to interfere. In the 94th minute German Bazkoare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Enekoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villa San Carlos's Sergio Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Mazuste in the 96th minute of play. The Acebal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
