Donato Benet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Emesto having to interfere. In the 8th minute of the game, Apolo Koldobika landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 9 minutes, Gualterio Flores mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Jibaros and the Haedo Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Haedo Fútbol Club booed when Los Jibaros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonel Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Cordarryl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes, Aristides Gombal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Jibaros and the Haedo Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Los Jibaros's Aristides Gombal got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Leonel Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Los Jibaros's zone, Arnaldo Oskarbi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Tanio came out of the goal and Arnaldo Oskarbi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernan Tanio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Sabino's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Leonel Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haedo Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Sabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Los Jibaros booed when Haedo Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonel Sabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Los Jibaros's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Sabino came free, but Fernan Tanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute, Leonel Sabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Haedo Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Benet came free, but Danilo Emesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Haedo Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. Fernan Tanio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Sabino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernan Tanio having to make a save. Ubaldo Cordarryl took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo Emesto. Danilo Emesto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Sabino in the 75th minute of play forced Los Jibaros's goalkeeper Fernan Tanio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Sabino took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernan Tanio. Fernan Tanio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Arnaldo Oskarbi fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Haedo Fútbol Club's protests and gave Arnaldo Oskarbi a yellow card for diving instead. Arnaldo Oskarbi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Leonel Sabino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Tanio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Los Jibaros's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Erroman came free, but Fernan Tanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee gave Haedo Fútbol Club a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dionisio Macias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Los Jibaros's Fernan Tanio. 3-1. Haedo Fútbol Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
