Spectators: 5300 (Terracing: 4100, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 100) Merlo FC's Albano Aurken started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justino Foro got free with Gaston Vermudo in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Gaston Vermudo managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Rulais FC's Justino Foro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Merlo FC's zone, Justino Foro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Vermudo came out of the goal and Justino Foro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Rulais FC's Lucas Rosio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaston Vermudo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Rulais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Rosio to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Caitano during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Dario Cucao reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaston Vermudo. The goal made the score 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Gaston Vermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Rosio in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rulais FC's Cirilo Abreu got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Foro in the 60th minute of play forced Merlo FC's goalkeeper Gaston Vermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justino Foro struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gaston Vermudo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rulais FC. In the 66th minute, Albano Aurken fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Lucas Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Vermudo having to interfere.
