Fernan Tanio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carolo Abarca in the 10th minute of play. If Ubaldo Cordarryl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Cordarryl scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zacarias Petri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Pirguita AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ubaldo Cordarryl fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Los Jibaros's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmacio Rudolfo came free, but Fernan Tanio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carolo Abarca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Tanio having to interfere. A hard, long distance shot from Maximo Panpili flew over the goal. Gualterio Flores's late challenge caught a Pirguita AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualterio Flores helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalmacio Rudolfo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernan Tanio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ubaldo Cordarryl took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Petri. Zacarias Petri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 41 minutes of play, Pirguita AFC's Dalmacio Rudolfo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Tanio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aristides Gombal charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aristides Gombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernan Tanio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Rudolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Cordarryl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Benet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Fabricio Eguntsenti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Jibaros and the Pirguita AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabricio Eguntsenti hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Zacarias Petri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Gombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Donato Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Zacarias Petri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pirguita AFC's Zacarias Petri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Benet in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los Jibaros's Ubaldo Cordarryl got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Ubaldo Cordarryl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Zacarias Petri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Benet went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score.
