The Pera de Goma fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Pera de Goma's Anselmo Gaspard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 21st match minute, Koko FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Oalo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Gaspard in the 27th minute of play forced Koko FC's goalkeeper Teofilo Kauldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Santiago Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Pera de Goma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Garcia couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Kauldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The Pera de Goma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Oalo during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelio Oalo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Gaspard in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teofilo Kauldi saved Koko FC from getting behind. Pera de Goma's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
