Desiderio Txilar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Emilio Burni made a huge save. In the 30th minute, Honorato Inocente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saul Tiadoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Peio in the 35th minute of play. When Urbano Mino came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Schlegel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urbano Mino couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Schlegel's zone, Omar Seguinus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Burni came out of the goal and Omar Seguinus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Omar Seguinus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Burni was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After 99 minutes of play, Chumscrubber Futbol Club's Desiderio Txilar made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Burni was left in no man's land by his defense there! Schlegel's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
