A very good chance. When Santo Ted came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Ciénega FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Ted couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ciénega FC's zone, Melquiades Katia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Arnalt came out of the goal and Melquiades Katia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 played minutes Ciénega FC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Raphael. 15 minutes into the match, Ciénega FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Bilbo came free, but Donato Arnalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Arnalt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Katia, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Melquiades Katia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 33 minutes into the match, Santo Ted had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Gombal. Sinsacate FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Ted was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Santo Ted struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Benjamin Gombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciénega FC. 44 minutes into the match, Sinsacate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Gergori came free, but Benjamin Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Sinsacate FC's Benjamin Gombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sinsacate FC from getting a goal against them. If Santo Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciénega FC's Donato Arnalt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Txurio in the 67th minute of play. Melquiades Katia kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciénega FC's Santo Ted slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benjamin Gombal. That made the score 0-2 after 71 minutes of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Evaristo Birila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciénega FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Birila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ciénega FC's zone, Hipolito Txurio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Arnalt came out of the goal and Hipolito Txurio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciénega FC's Genaro Quintin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ezequiel Bilbo in the 82 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santo Ted got free with Benjamin Gombal in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Hipolito Txurio made a precise shot to the right of Donato Arnalt. Ciénega FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ciénega FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
