Donato Arnalt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Elertondo FC's Joel Fero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donato Arnalt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santo Ted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santo Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Santo Ted came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ciénega FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Ted couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Ciénega FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elertondo FC:s goal. The referee gave Elertondo FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bartolo Dantae, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ciénega FC's Donato Arnalt. 2-0. Evaristo Birila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santo Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Quintin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fernando Larpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardino Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximiliano Dino to strike the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Dino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donato Arnalt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Donato Arnalt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Fero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ciénega FC defense, Bernardino Sanduru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Arnalt. The Ciénega FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Arnalt should have stopped the shot. Genaro Quintin struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Fernando Larpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciénega FC. Santo Ted came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fernando Larpe could save by the left post. The supporters of Ciénega FC booed when Elertondo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Dantae didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Santo Ted managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciénega FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Ted was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Elertondo FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ciénega FC for much of the match.
