The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mauricio Vachon kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Florentino Rami acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jose Azevedo. 13 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Errolan came free, but Florentino Rami reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Flor in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Errolan in the 16th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Florentino Rami to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Hernandez. In the 20th minute, Sébila's Igor Errolan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Urbano Santxol hit a great ball. Florentino Rami made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Errolan in the 24th minute of play. Florentino Rami took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Hernandez. Sébila's Florencio Gabon got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hector Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Kusko, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 2-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Florencio Gabon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Boca Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Igor Errolan scored to the left of an out of position Florentino Rami, making the score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Igor Errolan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Rami came out of the goal and Igor Errolan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Sébila's Ildefonso Bilintx got a free kick in the 59th minute. Igor Errolan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Igor Errolan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florentino Rami having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Florencio Gabon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Rami came out of the goal and Florencio Gabon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florentino Rami showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Gabon in the 69th minute of the match. Florencio Gabon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Florentino Rami tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Igor Errolan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Florentino Rami was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Florentino Rami, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Igor Errolan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Florentino Rami was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the game, Florencio Gabon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Florentino Rami was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jose Azevedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Florentino Rami. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95th minute, Igor Errolan made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Rami. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Sébila walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
