The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Celestino Astudillo's late challenge caught a Riber y su mancha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Astudillo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Virreyes FC's Celestino Astudillo got a free kick in the 13th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Florencio Matai notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Virreyes FC's Cristian Miliano. Cristian Miliano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute Florencio Matai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Miliano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornelio Petri in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Miliano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Domingo Azeari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riber y su mancha's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Azeari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Miliano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Virreyes FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Riber y su mancha:s goal. Cristian Miliano went to the wrong direction when Jonathan Orland was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Virreyes FC's Cristian Miliano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Petri in the 40th minute of play. Justino Rojelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Florian in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cornelio Petri to make the kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Cornelio Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riber y su mancha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Petri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 minutes, Leandro Chano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virreyes FC and the Riber y su mancha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Virreyes FC's Leandro Chano got a free kick in the 65th minute. Clemente Ostots's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Miliano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Clemente Ostots managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riber y su mancha's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Ostots was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Miliano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelio Petri did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Cristian Miliano 77 minutes into the match. Riber y su mancha's Clemente Ostots got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Cornelio Petri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Petri got free with Cristian Miliano in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Riber y su mancha's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
