In the 10th minute of the match Pablo Claus shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrian Handi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi's Leonel Satordi got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maozinha F.C's Adrian Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Liberto in the 14th minute of play. Fausto Liberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Adrian Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi's Leonel Satordi got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Fausto Liberto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Leonel Satordi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Leonel Satordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Maozinha F.C defense, Fausto Liberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Handi. The Maozinha F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Handi should have stopped the shot. After the first half Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Carlomagno to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Macerio came free, but Toninho Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
