The crowd rose to their feet as El Charrua's Filiberto Bernebe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicasio Gar. That made the score 1-1 after 44 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Presebal to make the kick off. The supporters of Lakers booed when El Charrua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Millan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Rencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Rodas having to interfere. In the 56th minute of the match, Benjamin Rencio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Esteban Rodas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 72 played minutes Lakers got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Blasi. Benjamin Rencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteban Rodas having to make a save. If Godofredo Blasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The El Charrua players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
