When Leonel Satordi came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Satordi couldn't finish the play. Nicasio Gar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Liberto in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Lakers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Estebano to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Leonel Satordi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicasio Gar was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the game, Fausto Liberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nicasio Gar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Genaro Orlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Genaro Orlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi's supporters rose to their feet, but Genaro Orlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Gar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Leonel Satordi made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Gar. Lakers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, Godofredo Blasi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lakers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi the free kick. After 45 played minutes Lakers got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Blasi. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Satordi was the one to do the kick off. Nicasio Gar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Liberto in the 52nd minute. Fausto Liberto might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicasio Gar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Liberto ran back to his position shaking his head. Fausto Liberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Gar having to interfere. Leonel Satordi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Nicasio Gar made a huge save. In the 76th minute Delmar Joanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 77 in the game by Fausto Liberto from a close distance when the talented Nicasio Gar managed to make a qualified save. Lakers's players were relieved. 80 minutes into the game, Delmar Joanes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lakers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi the free kick. A collision led to Lakers getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Delmar Joanes hit a great ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lakers's goalkeeper Nicasio Gar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fausto Liberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Millonarios de Aldo Bonzi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
