Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marciano Presebal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Manni having to interfere. Enrique Izotz struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Esteban Rodas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bonan FC. A collision led to El Charrua getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hermengildo Eleder hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Enrique Izotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bonan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Izotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Rodas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Millan during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Presebal to make the kick off. El Charrua's Esteban Rodas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Lesardo in the 55th minute of play. Nicanor Manni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bonan FC's zone, Filiberto Bernebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Manni came out of the goal and Filiberto Bernebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Enrique Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
