Paolo Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Serapio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Tilcarense FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ruperto Derwin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 20 minutes into the match, Deportivo Lona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Katia came free, but Paolo Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paolo Ekain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Christian Serapio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Serapio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Ekain having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Jonas Hibai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Tilcarense FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guaberto Katia made a kick off. In the 63rd minute, Jonas Hibai made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Polo. Tilcarense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.
