Paolo Ekain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Roldan, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Paolo Ekain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Dorio in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Jonas Hibai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Dorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Paolo Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ruperto Derwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teofilo Muc came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Lona FC's Ruperto Derwin. But to his dismay, Ruperto Derwin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ruperto Derwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonas Hibai was the one to do the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Roldan in the 67th minute of play forced Deportivo Lona FC's goalkeeper Paolo Ekain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Roldan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ariel Roldan got free in front of the goal in the 76th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Paolo Ekain was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Jairo Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute of the match, Ruperto Derwin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Teofilo Muc was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jonas Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Dorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Ekain having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ariel Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gmo Brown Puerto Madryn's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Roldan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paolo Ekain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
