Spectators: 7399 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 147) Monteverde's Juan Venerando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, one of Monteverde:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Jerano in the 14th minute of play forced SLA FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Sendoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Monteverde's Israel Hermelando got control of the ball when Feliciano Jakes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SLA FC's zone, Federico Jerano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Sendoa came out of the goal and Federico Jerano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Israel Hermelando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Claris, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Feliciano Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Hermelando having to interfere. In the 21st minute Gogo Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Hermelando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute of the match Monteverde got a corner. SLA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mauricio Maidana ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mauricio Maidana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SLA FC's Marcelo Sendoa did a great save. Federico Jerano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Marcelo Sendoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Sendoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Venerando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Israel Hermelando made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Feliciano Jakes sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of SLA FC booed when Monteverde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Urtsin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Gogo Claris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Hermelando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Monteverde fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet as Gogo Claris kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Israel Hermelando. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gogo Claris to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliciano Jakes in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Israel Hermelando saved Monteverde from getting behind. A hard shot 56 in the game by Juan Venerando from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Sendoa managed to make a qualified save. SLA FC's players were relieved. Juan Venerando's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Marcelo Sendoa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 61 minutes into the match, SLA FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Sendoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Venerando. In the 63rd minute Monteverde were awarded a corner. Mauricio Maidana went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Monteverde's corner Mauricio Maidana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Sendoa quite easily take care of the ball. If Federico Jerano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Claris in the 70th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Israel Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Juan Venerando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Sendoa was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. After 77 played minutes Monteverde got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Urtsin. After having played for 87 minutes, Feliciano Jakes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SLA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliciano Jakes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Israel Hermelando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Jakes in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Federico Jerano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Sendoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monteverde's Juan Venerando got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Federico Jerano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The long shot by Mauricio Maidana in the 95th minute really tested Marcelo Sendoa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SLA FC had won after a very even match.
