After 8 played minutes Los diablos rojos got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Galo. Ivan Oalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Basajaun's late challenge caught a Iglesia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Basajaun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Los diablos rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Basajaun to maneuver through the defense. When Arnoldo Procopio came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Iglesia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Procopio couldn't finish the play. After 18th play minutes Ivan Oalo shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Fabricio Lorenz and just under the crossbar into goal. After 28 minutes of play Los diablos rojos's Jonas Basajaun was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Los diablos rojos getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jonas Basajaun hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ivan Oalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabricio Lorenz was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 34 minutes into the game, Iglesia AFC's Arnoldo Procopio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabricio Lorenz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Feliciano Galos short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Eusebio Acevedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45thth minute of the game Arnoldo Procopio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los diablos rojos's Fabricio Lorenz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ivan Oalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Oalo was the one to do the kick off. Elvio Clis's late challenge caught a Iglesia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvio Clis helped the player get up and apologised. Elvio Clis kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ivan Oalo struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Fabricio Lorenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iglesia AFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Procopio got free with Fabricio Lorenz in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Arnoldo Procopio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Oalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabricio Lorenz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Los diablos rojos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Pacifico to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Iglesia AFC booed when Los diablos rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Porfiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Arnoldo Procopio could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Fabricio Lorenz however easily saved by the left post. Ivan Oalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Fabricio Lorenz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Los diablos rojos's goalkeeper Fabricio Lorenz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnoldo Procopio. Feliciano Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Eusebio Acevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Feliciano Galo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Arnoldo Procopio took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Fabricio Lorenz to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Iglesia AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
