An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Lugo in the 8th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Israel Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Oliveiro struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Israel Hermelando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ositos Gominolas Torpes. 15 minutes into the game, Juan Venerando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Teo Elixio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolas Oxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Teo Elixio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Teo Elixio throw himself and got hold of the ball when Juan Venerando in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Nicolas Oxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Teo Elixio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Teo Elixio managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Monteverde's Juan Venerando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 34th minute Zacarias Oliveiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Hermelando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juan Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Calisto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teo Elixio. Ositos Gominolas Torpes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Venerando in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teo Elixio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monteverde's attentive Gustavo Urtsin managed to snatch the ball when Reynaldo Ralondo made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Lugo in the 47th minute of play forced Monteverde's goalkeeper Israel Hermelando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Monteverde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Francesco to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute of the match Leonel Toli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Israel Hermelando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacarias Oliveiro made a kick off. Monteverde's Israel Hermelando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Oliveiro in the 54th minute of play. Teo Elixio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Venerando in the 57th minute of the match. Teo Elixio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Francesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Juan Venerando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alejandro Baudelio fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ositos Gominolas Torpes's protests and gave Alejandro Baudelio a yellow card for diving instead. Alejandro Baudelio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Zacarias Oliveiro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ositos Gominolas Torpes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zacarias Oliveiro couldn't finish the play. After 71 minutes, Juan Venerando made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Teo Elixio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 76 minutes, Gustavo Urtsin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Urtsin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gustavo Urtsin came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Monteverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Urtsin couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Venerando in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teo Elixio saved Ositos Gominolas Torpes from getting behind. Federico Jerano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Teo Elixio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teo Elixio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Oxel in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Ositos Gominolas Torpes's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Tomi came free, but Teo Elixio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Juan Venerando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ositos Gominolas Torpes's Teo Elixio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Honorato Orlin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Monteverde were the better team. Monteverde's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
