Tumba Rancho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some careless play in the Tumba Rancho defense, Gustavo Urtsin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Gipuzkoa. The Tumba Rancho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Gipuzkoa should have stopped the shot. After 34 played minutes, Monteverde's Benito Calisto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Everardo Gipuzkoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monteverde reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Gustavo Urtsin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteverde's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Urtsin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Gipuzkoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gustavo Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Gustavo Urtsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Monteverde's Gustavo Urtsin got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, Tumba Rancho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Frasco to maneuver through the defense. Tumba Rancho's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Juan Venerando 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. In the 65th minute of the match Benito Calisto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Everardo Gipuzkoa skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Venerando got free with Everardo Gipuzkoa in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everardo Gipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Jerano in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Venerando in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Gipuzkoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Venerando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Everardo Gipuzkoa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Monteverde's Gustavo Urtsin got a free kick in the 83rd minute.
