Aquilino Lamberto made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Paulino Velasco sent off a good shot on target. Placido Celino took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Lamberto. Aquilino Lamberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 24 minutes into the match, River Plate's Paulino Velasco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aquilino Lamberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Faustino Roderigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Cordeal in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Placido Celino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in pelos16.mdr's zone, Paulino Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Lamberto came out of the goal and Paulino Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. pelos16.mdr's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Placido Celino scored to the left of an out of position Aquilino Lamberto, making the score, 2-1. In the 37th minute, Paulino Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes in the game, Placido Celino fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aquilino Lamberto having to interfere. When Placido Celino came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Celino couldn't finish the play. Paulino Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aquilino Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cecilio Cordeal's late challenge caught a River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cecilio Cordeal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of River Plate booed when pelos16.mdr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cecilio Cordeal didn't get a good kick on the ball. pelos16.mdr's Aquilino Lamberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Celino in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, pelos16.mdr's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Velasco came free, but Aquilino Lamberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Federico Incendio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Celino struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Aquilino Lamberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. After having played for 69 minutes, Paulino Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cecilio Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Cecilio Cordeal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Placido Celino came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Celino couldn't finish the play. The River Plate fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when River Plate's Paulino Velasco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Placido Celino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Cordeal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 98thth minute tested the skills of Faustino Roderigo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The River Plate fans cheered their team off the field, for while pelos16.mdr had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
