Domingos Maureo came out of the goal and Humberto Furman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Humberto Furman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Domingos Maureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Goi in the 14th minute of play forced Don Fermin F. C.'s goalkeeper Pornsak Jareanpunpon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sierra de la Ventana's Ciro Goi got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingos Maureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Amaya in the 22nd minute of the match. Humberto Furman's late challenge caught a Sierra de la Ventana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Humberto Furman helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes Don Fermin F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Furman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Amaya in the 25th minute of play forced Sierra de la Ventana's goalkeeper Domingos Maureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Vinicio Amaya lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Domingos Maureo. Sierra de la Ventana's Domingos Maureo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Sierra de la Ventana from getting a goal against them. Vinicio Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Maureo having to interfere. If Humberto Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaron Egoitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Ceferino Mikeldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sierra de la Ventana and the Don Fermin F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Don Fermin F. C. booed when Sierra de la Ventana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Mikeldi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
