In the 17th minute Igor Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Jorrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Logroño fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Logroño's Gregorio Froylan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Gregorio Froylan came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Logroño fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Froylan couldn't finish the play. After 29 minutes, Anacleto Feo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Green Dog and the Logroño players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Green Dog getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Anacleto Feo hit a great ball. Delmiro Jorrin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregorio Froylan's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Club Atlético Green Dog's Delmiro Jorrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Froylan in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Anacleto Feo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Martino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delmiro Jorrin having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Bastian during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Samuel Bastian hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Gregorio Froylan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Club Atlético Green Dog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Froylan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Quirze in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmiro Jorrin saved Club Atlético Green Dog from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Logroño's Florentino Xacintu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Delmiro Jorrin. Delmiro Jorrin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Quirze in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmiro Jorrin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 90 minutes, Adolfo Quirze made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Green Dog's Delmiro Jorrin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Florentino Xacintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmiro Jorrin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentino Xacintu ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Logroño could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético Green Dog throughout the match.
