Desiderio Abilio hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Feliciano Calvet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregorio Froylan in the 33rd minute. Gregorio Froylan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Feliciano Calvet 37 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Quirze in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Calvet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Igor Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Adolfo Quirze put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Feliciano Calvet. Logroño's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
