An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Mincho in the 25th minute of play forced River plate's goalkeeper Pastor Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Barros struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Delmar Tulio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River plate. A collision led to River plate getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Arturo Barros hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Constantino Tonio made the kick off in the second half. Lucas Mincho scored 0-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pastor Acevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Delmar Tulio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmar Tulio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Canor, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Eusebio Canor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusebio Canor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmar Tulio having to interfere. In the 71st minute, River plate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucas Mincho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. River plate's Pastor Acevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save River plate from getting a goal against them. Arturo Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. River plate's Pastor Acevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save River plate from getting a goal against them. After having played for 97 minutes, Arturo Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 98 played minutes River plate got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Steven. After having played for 99 minutes, Herminio Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Franpitoduro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Sein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Franpitoduro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
