The supporters of Rancagua Junior booed when River Plate Villa Maria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Librado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac Frutos thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Apolo Baleren, a very annoying self made goal in the 47th minute which led to 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timoteo Ongile made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Ermegildo Dominix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The River Plate Villa Maria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rancagua Junior's zone, Ermegildo Dominix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Sansone came out of the goal and Ermegildo Dominix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermegildo Dominix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate Villa Maria's goalkeeper Apolo Baleren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ermegildo Dominix struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Atilano Sansone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate Villa Maria. After some careless play in the Rancagua Junior defense, Tomás Cebrian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilano Sansone. The Rancagua Junior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilano Sansone should have stopped the shot. Constantino Iigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Apolo Baleren made a huge save. Timoteo Ongile struck a weak shot in the 84th minute.
