The referee ignored River Plate Villa Maria's protests and gave Dario Librado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, River Plate Villa Maria's Dario Librado got a free kick in the 9th minute. Apolo Baleren was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Danilo Cerilo. Marcial Ignado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Celso Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Dominix, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Lázaro Bernard in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Apolo Baleren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 27 minutes, Ermegildo Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Villa Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Dominix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Clis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 31 minutes on the clock, Elpidio Etxepare commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 30th minute, one of River Plate Villa Maria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River Plate Villa Maria. When the match had been going on for 33 minutes, Ubuntu's Danilo Cerilo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Apolo Baleren. After 37 played minutes River Plate Villa Maria got a freekick which was hit by Dario Librado. After having played for 39 minutes, Marcial Ignado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Villa Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Ignado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Apolo Baleren made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mauricio Lohitzun sent off a good shot on target. Apolo Baleren came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ubuntu's Mauricio Lohitzun. But to his dismay, Mauricio Lohitzun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcial Ignado made a kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Tomás Cebrian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate Villa Maria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ubuntu the free kick. After a rather tough play, River Plate Villa Maria's Tomás Cebrian got a free kick in the 59th minute. When Mauricio Lohitzun came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ubuntu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Lohitzun couldn't finish the play. Apolo Baleren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Bernard's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Ubuntu booed when River Plate Villa Maria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Librado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes, Ubuntu's Dalmacio Laffitte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Apolo Baleren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ubuntu reached it. Lázaro Bernard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Cebrian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Celso Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Ubuntu's Celso Clis got control of the ball when Marcial Ignado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Tomás Cebrian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Villa Maria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Cebrian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Lohitzun in the 96th minute of play forced River Plate Villa Maria's goalkeeper Apolo Baleren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ubuntu had won after a very even match.
