Rosendo Ranolfo was a little too slow when Evelio Sanchez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Belgrano de p.i getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Joel Baumer hit a great ball. The referee ignored Belgrano de p.i's protests and gave Zacarias Berdaitz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Dinamo Kiev.'s Daniel Xabel got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 48 played minutes, Belgrano de p.i's Zacarias Berdaitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rosendo Ranolfo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Belgrano de p.i reached it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Cuarto was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Xabel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Froilan Estefan. Belgrano de p.i's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rosendo Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Abaunza in the 54th minute of play. Vladimiro Bilintx's late challenge caught a Belgrano de p.i's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Cuarto got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 75th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. Rosendo Ranolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Orlo, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Belgrano de p.i's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
