After a rather tough play, Menucos's Artemio Garin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ricardo Guter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Mariano Beturian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Jose Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Beturian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Rogelio Dantae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garrison FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menucos the free kick. The supporters of Menucos booed when Garrison FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Dantae didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Garrison FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Sotil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Jose Berenguer fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garrison FC's protests and gave Jose Berenguer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Garrison FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. The referee showed Emanuel Obano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Ubaldo Frascuelo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Menucos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Frascuelo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ubaldo Frascuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Menucos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Frascuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Sotil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodolfo Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Millano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Sotil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Frascuelo in the 44th minute. A collision led to Garrison FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rogelio Dantae hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benicio Millano was the one to do the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Menucos's Benicio Millano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Sotil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 92 minutes of play Garrison FC's Jose Berenguer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Menucos had won after a very even match.
