Spectators: 7115 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Salvador Regis started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Aldo Cordarell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nereo Matia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Su came free, but Desiderio Montxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aldo Cordarell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nereo Matia was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. With a little luck, Deportivo Esquel's Nereo Matia got control of the ball when Aldo Cordarell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute Salvador Regis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Montxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Conrado Izel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nereo Matia. Conrado Izel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If Conrado Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ballester FC's Desiderio Montxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Su in the 30th minute of play. Aldo Cordarell scored 3-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nereo Matia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nereo Matia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Dodorol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Ballester FC's Conrado Izel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Izel in the 43rd minute of play forced Deportivo Esquel's goalkeeper Nereo Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Deportivo Esquel's goalkeeper Nereo Matia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldo Cordarell. If Salvador Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Christian Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Desiderio Montxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Regis in the 61st minute of play. Nereo Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Cordarell in the 68th minute of play. Ballester FC's Desiderio Montxo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Ballester FC from getting a goal against them. Conrado Izel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Matia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Nereo Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Estefan in the 75th minute of the match. Nereo Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Izel in the 76th minute of play. Aldo Cordarell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Matia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Esquel's zone, Aldo Cordarell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Matia came out of the goal and Aldo Cordarell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Ballester FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
