The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for River Plate de San Rafael. Aldo Cordarell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Isidro Astigar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate de San Rafael's zone, Conrado Izel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Astigar came out of the goal and Conrado Izel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Cordarell in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Astigar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Ballester FC's Desiderio Montxo got control of the ball when Jesus Otsoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. River Plate de San Rafael succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ballester FC had controlled the match.
