Spectators: 6550 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fernando Valente made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 5 minutes, Diego Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maquinchao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Platon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Dimas made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Gogo Iban sent off a good shot on target. Leon Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Maquinchao FC's Gogo Iban got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Maquinchao FC defense, Fernando Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon Ondino. The Maquinchao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon Ondino should have stopped the shot. If Roberto Mannie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Ondino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Dimas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gogo Iban in the 31st minute. Diego Platon was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Salto's goalkeeper Diego Dimas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernando Valente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Maquinchao FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rigoberto Florin hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Platon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salto's Roberto Mannie got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Abreu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Diego Platon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Dimas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Diego Dimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Platon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Roberto Mannie could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Ramon Ondino however easily saved by the left post. Fernando Valente struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ramon Ondino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salto. Maquinchao FC's Ramon Ondino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Maquinchao FC from getting a goal against them. Diego Dimas came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Maquinchao FC's Diego Platon. But to his dismay, Diego Platon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Diego Platon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Salto getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Mauro Francesco hit a great ball. Diego Platon struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Diego Dimas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maquinchao FC. 79 minutes into the game, Maquinchao FC's Gogo Iban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diego Dimas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Mauro Francesco fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salto's protests and gave Mauro Francesco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Salto's Mauro Francesco got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Valente in the 90th minute of play forced Maquinchao FC's goalkeeper Ramon Ondino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Mannie got free with Ramon Ondino in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Salto players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maquinchao FC.
