Tiburcio Bartuelo was slow to take the kick. During this time Pepon's players had a chance to rest. Pepon's Tiburcio Bartuelo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Placido Perfecto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 29th minute, Silverio Bertol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Chuquis AFC booed when Pepon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Perfecto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Placido Perfecto managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Pepon's Silverio Bertol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Pepon booed when Chuquis AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Mannie came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Chuquis AFC's Cipriano Naelio. But to his dismay, Cipriano Naelio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Placido Perfecto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ulises Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Placido Perfecto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Colon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Mannie having to interfere.
