After 8 played minutes, Pepon's Tiburcio Bartuelo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aurelio Cebrian came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pepon reached it. After some careless play in the Monterroca defense, Silverio Bertol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Cebrian. The Monterroca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Cebrian should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Pepon getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Faustino Osoro hit a great ball. Victorio Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Aurelio Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorio Mino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Pepon got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Mino. After 29 minutes, Luciano Fertus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monterroca and the Pepon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Luciano Fertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braulio Mano's late challenge caught a Pepon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braulio Mano helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Monterroca getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Braulio Mano hit a great ball. The supporters of Pepon booed when Monterroca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Paublo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pepon getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Victorio Mino hit a great ball. Victorio Mino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aurelio Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustino Osoro made a kick off. Silverio Bertol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Faustino Osoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Aurelio Cebrian made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Monterroca's goalkeeper Aurelio Cebrian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Mino. After a defensive mix-up in Monterroca's zone, Victorio Mino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Cebrian came out of the goal and Victorio Mino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Silverio Bertol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulises Berriotxoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Cebrian having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Silverio Bertol reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Cebrian. The goal made the score 0-2. After having played for 74 minutes, Silverio Bertol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silverio Bertol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Osoro in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aurelio Cebrian, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Monterroca's zone, Victorio Mino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Cebrian came out of the goal and Victorio Mino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute, Victorio Mino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Monterroca defense, Silverio Bertol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Cebrian. The Monterroca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Cebrian should have stopped the shot. Faustino Osoro struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Aurelio Cebrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepon. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Silverio Bertol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pepon's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Bertol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Cebrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterroca's goalkeeper Aurelio Cebrian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faustino Osoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Aurelio Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Victorio Mino came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Pepon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Mino couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Pepon could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monterroca throughout the match.
