Ivan Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Manuel Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Criston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Arixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Roberto Mancio made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Amadeo Honesto sent off a good shot on target. Evelio Gorosti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. With his leg Roberto Mancio managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Viejo Potrero FC's Amadeo Honesto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manuel Criston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Fagondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Ivan Fagondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Criston. Viejo Potrero FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Fagondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Fagondo to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Ivan Fagondo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Criston was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 87th minute, one of Atlético Neuquén:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Atlético Neuquén. The referee gave Viejo Potrero FC a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Quinto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Neuquén's Roberto Mancio. 1-2. Joaquin Mancio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roberto Mancio. Atlético Neuquén's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Aristides Arixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Neuquén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristides Arixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atlético Neuquén had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
