Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Roberto Mancio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

Ivan Fagondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st match minute, Deportivo Español was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Arias to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Abaunza's late challenge caught a Atlético Neuquén's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvio Abaunza helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Deportivo Español got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Abaunza. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Neuquén's zone, Cipriano Ebardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Mancio came out of the goal and Cipriano Ebardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 98 minutes into the match, Atlético Neuquén's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Fanuco came free, but Roberto Mancio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Español's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
