Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5433, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Antonio Olo kicked off to start the match. Paulo Fanuco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Barra AFC's zone, Paulo Fanuco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Elizardo came out of the goal and Paulo Fanuco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Elizardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Deportivo Español's Cipriano Ebardo got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Paulo Fanuco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Javier Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Fanuco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Deportivo Español booed when Barra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Iyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Javier Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Ebardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Elizardo having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Deportivo Español was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Abaunza to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Paulo Fanuco lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Javier Elizardo. Astor Sein came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Barra AFC's Antonio Olo. But to his dismay, Antonio Olo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Fanuco in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Elizardo saved Barra AFC from getting behind. Astor Sein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Olo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The corner ended in Melchor Venceslao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deportivo Español's Astor Sein did a great save. Thanks to some nice moves Cipriano Ebardo could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Javier Elizardo however easily saved by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Ebardo in the 60th minute of play forced Barra AFC's goalkeeper Javier Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Aureliano Chano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Paulo Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Eliseo Arias sped through Barra AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Javier Elizardo. After 81 minutes, Eriberto Porfiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barra AFC and the Deportivo Español players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barra AFC. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Deportivo Español. Cristian Truylos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Javier Elizardo. 4-1. Cipriano Ebardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Javier Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Deportivo Español players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
