Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Nequen's Americo Matai started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aquiles Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Dei in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Berenguer in the 8th minute of play forced Nequen's goalkeeper Aquiles Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Americo Matai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Sazon was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Emanuel Pueblo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Sazon having to make a save. After 13 minutes, Dalmacio Aurre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciudad Oculta and the Nequen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nequen's Emanuel Pueblo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Astor Sazon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Americo Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Pueblo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Astor Sazon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nequen's goalkeeper Aquiles Gartxot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Leopoldo Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ciudad Oculta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Berenguer couldn't finish the play. After 40 minutes of play, Ciudad Oculta's Cornelio Dei made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquiles Gartxot was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cornelio Dei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Guaberto Hermon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ciudad Oculta defense, Americo Matai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Sazon. The Ciudad Oculta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Sazon should have stopped the shot. Leopoldo Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Gartxot having to interfere. In the 69th minute Emanuel Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciudad Oculta's Astor Sazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Bero in the 74th minute of play. Americo Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Sazon having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Ciudad Oculta got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Mitxel. With a little luck, Nequen's Aquiles Gartxot got control of the ball when Dalmacio Aurre tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Leopoldo Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Astor Sazon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Matai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ciudad Oculta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alejandro Gorosti was slow to take the kick. During this time Nequen's players had a chance to rest. In the 89th minute of the match, Cornelio Dei got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquiles Gartxot was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Pueblo in the 92nd minute of play forced Ciudad Oculta's goalkeeper Astor Sazon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
