De neon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Quentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 6th minute Wilfredo Ospetsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Amato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Bernard hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Quentin in the 15th minute of play forced De neon's goalkeeper Arnaldo Amato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Amato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Dimas in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Amapola AFC's Wilfredo Ospetsu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Amato made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 20 played minutes Amapola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Ospetsu. Arnaldo Amato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Quentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Froilan Lizardi scored 0-4 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo Amato, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. De neon's Severo Ayala got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnaldo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Quentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Dimas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Amato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Quentin in the 40th minute of the match. Arnaldo Amato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Ospetsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Amapola AFC's goalkeeper Cayetano Elequemedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Lidon. After the first half Amapola AFC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfredo Ospetsu made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, De neon's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Ospetsu came free, but Arnaldo Amato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Chorache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Arnulfo Lidon came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the De neon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Lidon couldn't finish the play. De neon's Arnaldo Amato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Quentin in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Quentin got free with Arnaldo Amato in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Behe's late challenge caught a De neon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Behe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Amapola AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Behe to maneuver through the defense. If Jairo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Wilfredo Ospetsu took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Arnaldo Amato to make any attempt to save it. 84 minutes into the match, De neon's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Quentin came free, but Arnaldo Amato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bruno Behe was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. In the 94th minute, Bruno Behe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Amapola AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Amapola AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
