Benard FC's Primitivo Ted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Dimas in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Teofilio in the 9th minute of play forced Amapola AFC's goalkeeper Cayetano Elequemedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilfredo Ospetsu struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Primitivo Ted didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amapola AFC. Cayetano Elequemedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Teofilio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Maximino Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benard FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Teofilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Amapola AFC's zone, Maximino Teofilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Elequemedo came out of the goal and Maximino Teofilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 minutes, Ciro Quentin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amapola AFC and the Benard FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Amapola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Quentin. Luciano Maldonado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cayetano Elequemedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Froilan Lizardi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Maximino Teofilio's late challenge caught a Amapola AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximino Teofilio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, Benard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Teofilio to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Ted took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Dimas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilfredo Ospetsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cayetano Elequemedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Maldonado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the game, Juan Ulizes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benard FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amapola AFC the free kick. A collision led to Benard FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Juan Ulizes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Wilfredo Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amapola AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Ospetsu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Primitivo Ted breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Godofredo Cugat put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Benard FC a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Israel Llope, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Amapola AFC's Cayetano Elequemedo. 2-1. In the 66th minute, Maximino Teofilio made a precise shot to the right of Cayetano Elequemedo. Amapola AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Oscar Dimas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Primitivo Ted made a huge save. Ciro Quentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Primitivo Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Oscar Dimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Benard FC's zone, Oscar Dimas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primitivo Ted came out of the goal and Oscar Dimas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Amapola AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Benard FC.
