Carolo Gasteiz came out of the goal and Mauricio Licerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Explosivo FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Explosivo FC's Venancio Gumaro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Colón de Santa Fe's Ramon Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Gumaro in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Antonio Naike hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Licerio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Gaspar Cisco charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar Cisco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, one of Colón de Santa Fe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colón de Santa Fe. Teobaldo Oso walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a little luck, Colón de Santa Fe's Ramon Malvin got control of the ball when Venancio Gumaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venancio Gumaros short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Ramon Malvin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 38thth minute of the game Venancio Gumaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colón de Santa Fe's Ramon Malvin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodosio Presebal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ramon Malvin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Gumaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Venancio Gumaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Explosivo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Gumaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Venancio Gumaro to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Colón de Santa Fe's zone, Venancio Gumaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Malvin came out of the goal and Venancio Gumaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venancio Gumaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ramon Malvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Explosivo FC's Venancio Gumaro in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Mauricio Licerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Gasteiz having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Colón de Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Arce. Ramon Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Virila in the 73rd minute of play. Colón de Santa Fe's Ramon Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Gumaro in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Venancio Gumaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Explosivo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Venancio Gumaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Malvin having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Teobaldo Oso put in a rough tackle. Mauricio Licerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Explosivo FC had played much better football throughout.
